Classy and Classic Texas | Seliece and Josh’s Wedding

Daniel Ramirez

There are many frills and extras that can be attached to a wedding between two people. Trends and innovations have a way of moving to the forefront and taking over a wedding day. But, when properly executed, all of the extraneous things cannot compare to a classic romance, a classic ceremony and a classic couple. Seliece and Josh, rather than straying toward the latest or most popular thing, kept their entire day classy, simple and rooted in meaning and the classic moments that make for the best wedding day.

Keeping their entire ceremony and reception in Downtown Austin gave everything the traditional backdrop of genuine Austin. With the Capitol building peeking into photos and the incredible Central Christian Church as their ceremony venue, the bride and her bridesmaids shared stories, laughter and support as they readied Seliece to march toward her groom and their life together. Framed ever-s0-subtly and impressively elegantly by the Verbena Floral Design arrangements and the most classic bouquet to cross our paths in some time, Seliece stole breath from all who laid eyes on her – and most from Josh, during their “first look” photos.

The Incredible Bride

Breathtakingly, the bride emerges from shadow and into the celebration.

Once the formalities were taken care of, Seliece and Josh opted for the most Texan of receptions, taking over the The Bullock Texas State History Museum, which made for some of the most dramatic images and some of the best celebrations. Employing the most refined decor, an impossibly detailed cake and the presence of cleanest white in flowers and accents, the happy couple made the night shine and the images reflect a pure beauty throughout, as April Mae Creative captured.

What an Entrance

The Bullock Museum provides the perfect entrance for maximum drama and minimum boredom.

Of course, no wedding celebration is complete without a little revelry, and once the band took the stage and the glow sticks emerged, the party rattled Capitol Hill itself. The music was jumping and the party entered its final phase, as attendees danced until it was time for the happy couple to leave. But, before they went out into the Austin evening, and with all the guests waiting outside, Josh and Seliece stole a last moment to soak it all in and dance, literally, like no one was watching.
