Darren and Chelsea were torn between both New York and Austin, but money had a big say in their decision so they decided to plan a magical destination wedding.

When Darren mentioned getting married in one of the Islands Chelsea thought it was a great idea. They researched how much it would cost and it turned out that it would be substantially less than getting married in the states.

Chelsea and Darren knew they had a difficult task to over come especially since they had two different families from two different states to bring together.

The first thing Chelsea did was to find a good travel agent she knew this was the best way to find the best places for destination weddings. Then she researched tons of websites online. Finally after a few months of discussion Chelsea and Darren decided that they where going to get married in Jamaica. They chose Jamaica based on how easy it is to get married there and the fact that they would have a beautiful hotel, “Sandals Whitehouse” to accommodate and entertain their guest.

Once they told their parents and families that they had decided on Jamaica they knew it would not be easy. They were prepared to accept that the guest list would be smaller because some of the family and friends would not be able to make the trip. But Darren and Chelsea where ok with that reality. This was what they wanted and they knew that this would be make them happy and that it would be the best thing for them in the long run. After all Brides and Grooms should remember the wedding is about them and not everyone else.

When they contacted Sandals they handled everything. They booked their hotel and took care of every detail. They put Chelsea in touch with a wedding planner who emailed Chelsea a list of things that could be included for her wedding and then all Chelsea had to do was check things off and fax it back. It was the easiest thing Chelsea had ever done. Chelsea didn’t want to be that crazy bride who freaks about months or a year before her wedding. This made it so easy Chelsea could continue her work, and keep her sanity all while Sandals took care of the details.

When Chelsea and Darren got to Jamaica and arrived at the hotel it was everything they had ever imagined and more. They met with the wedding planner that was assigned to their wedding at the hotel and everything was taken care of for them. Chelsea and Darren didn’t have to worry about a thing. They had 20 guests that attended plus family and everyone who was fortunate to be there said that our wedding was the most relaxed, fun, and laid back wedding they had ever attended. They even said that it was like getting a special vacation with friends and family. This meant so much to Chelsea and Darren they wanted people to have a good time and not be so up tight in suits. Chelsea and Darren got what they wanted and had a magical time. Story has it that they would do it all over again in heart beat.
