The couple wanted their wedding to be as meaningful as possible, so they had friends provide many of the wedding services and kept the event to just 30 guests.
Brittany + Josh: Hill Country Wedding Under the Texas Sunset
Wedding: June 17, 2017
Ceremony & reception: Garden Grove, Buda
Honeymoon: Costa Rica
A guy walks into a bar—and falls in love with the bartender. At least, that’s how it happened for Brittany Schwartz and Josh Gothia, who connected early on through conversation and a shared love of music; eventually, he asked her out for coffee. Brittany and Josh spent nine years getting to know each other before he proposed on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple had a Hill Country wedding under the Texas sunset with 150 guests. Every aspect they chose had meaning: Josh built the arch they were married under, they chose lifelong friends to be the musician and officiant, and some decorations had been passed down from their grandparents. The couple’s favorite moments were when they could steal some alone time—first, when they woke up early and went on a date to their favorite local coffee shop, then a private, romantic dinner for two after photos were taken. After spending so much time caught up in the excitement of talking to guests, they enjoyed taking a pause to enjoy the moment, just the two of them.
