The couple wanted their wedding to be as meaningful as possible, so they had friends provide many of the wedding services and kept the event to just 30 guests.
Jacquelyn & Robert: Cross-country Romance Leads to a Holiday Wedding Day at the Driskill
Wedding: December 30, 2017
Ceremony: St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church
Reception: The Driskill
Honeymoon: Bordeaux, France
Jacquelyn Alamia and Robert Bombard met through mutual friends at the University of Kansas. Not long after they started dating, she left to study abroad, graduation led them to relocate in different states, and they spent the next three years of their relationship long-distance—that is, until Robert was relocated to Seattle for work and Jacquelyn moved to join him. He proposed on a beautiful fall day in Bellingham, Washington, at the summit of a hiking trail overlooking the water. They married at the Driskill in front of 200 guests. Having moved across the country often, it was extra-special to have so many friends and family members in the same room. The venue made everything easy, which meant Jacquelyn could enjoy her wedding day, stress-free. Coming from a family that loves to dance, she wasn’t surprised that the floor was packed for hours.
