A Historical Small Town Wedding Location
The city of Bastrop, Texas, nestled on the banks of the Colorado River is just 30 minutes from Austin, and less than two hours from Houston. Bastrop is at the juncture of Highways 71, 21 and 95, and is 22 miles from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The Central Texas Museum of Automotive History traces the history of the automobile. This museum just 15 miles from town offers Vintage cars; trucks and other vehicles are on display.
Just off Main Street you will find the Bastrop Opera House. The Bastrop Opera House built in 1889, was renovated in 1984 and restored to its original purpose. Lake Bastrop and the Colorado River offer fishing, boating and other water activities. The LCRA‘s McKinney Roughs Nature Park is just minutes away and features miles of walking and equestrian trails.
